Justin Watkins is a dedicated cybersecurity professional who has been in the industry now for 9 years. His expertise is in penetration testing, threat emulation, vulnerability management, and risk management through readiness assessments. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) with a requirement to ensure security at any business size or level. Justin came into cybersecurity through a more unorthodox approach. His education came through the military consisting of contracting for the National Security Agency in San Antonio, TX where he led a team of Digital Network Exploitation Analysts. During his transition to the civilian work force he focuses now primarily on Small to Medium Sized Businesses (SMB's) maintaining and incorporating security solutions into their workplace. This included implementing assessments tailored to different cybersecurity frameworks such as OWASP, NIST, CMMC, ISO, and MITRE. He enabled companies to not only feel but truly become more secure both tactically and strategically. Justin now leads the Offensive Security Department at Solis Security. His primary objective is to facilitate penetration tests with his team of qualified ethical hackers to show SMB's where they are currently vulnerable and what they could do to remove potential risk they are currently accepting whether the client knows it or not.
